Theme : Movies Meet Pathology

This is your chance to showcase your creativity by blending the world of cinema with the fascinating realm of pathology. We want to see how you interpret and illustrate pathological concepts using iconic movie scenes, characters, or storylines.

Rules & Guidelines:

Time Limit : Your reel must be no longer than 1 minute.
Teamwork : You can work individually or in teams of upto 4 individuals.
Content : The reel should clearly demonstrate a connection between a movie and a pathological concept.
Creativity : We encourage innovative and engaging presentations. Use visuals, audio, and storytelling to captivate the audience.
Accuracy : Ensure the pathological information presented is accurate and scientifically sound.
Originality : Avoid plagiarism. Use your own creative interpretations and presentations.
Platform : Reels will be submitted and posted on our Instagram handle @experentia_docet
Language : English, Hindi or Kannada

This collage competition invites participants to explore the diverse facets of pathology through three distinct themes, fostering creative expression and deeper understanding.

Theme 1 : Forensic Pathology : Crime Scene to Diagnosis

Concept : Focus on the process of forensic pathology, from scene investigation to diagnostic conclusions, highlighting the analytical steps.

Theme 2 : Pathology Through the Ages

Concept : Trace the historical development of pathology, exploring the evolution of diagnostic techniques and the impact of key discoveries.

Theme 3 : Pathology and AI: The Future Ahead

Concept : Explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming pathology, focusing on enhanced diagnostics and patient care.

General Guidelines :

Participants are to make a digital collage.
The completed collage must be submitted as a single image file (e.g., JPEG, PNG).
Upto 3 persons per team/submission.
Participants can submit entries for as many of the three themes as they wish
The collages should be informative, original, and relevant to the chosen theme.
A brief written description explaining the concept of the collage should be submitted alongside the artwork.
Judging criteria will include: Creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and scientific accuracy.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each individual theme.

Capture the unexpected resemblances between pathological specimens (histology slides, gross specimens, etc.) and everyday objects, scenes, or concepts. Showcase the beauty and intrigue of pathology through a unique and relatable lens.

Theme : Reflections of Reality : Pathology's Everyday Echoes

Guidelines :

Subject Matter :

Photographs must feature pathological specimens from any domain.
Clearly demonstrate a visual resemblance between the specimen and an everyday object, scene, or concept and provide a writeup of the same in less than 50 words

Photography :

Use any camera or device (smartphone, microscope camera, DSLR).
Microscopic and macroscopic images are welcome.
Minimal digital manipulation (cropping, brightness/contrast) is allowed. Significant alterations are discouraged.
No limit on the number of entries per person.

Submission :

Digital format (JPEG or PNG).
Caption : Pathological specimen depicted and the everyday object, scene, or concept it resembles.
Magnification (if applicable).

Judging Criteria :

Step into a vibrant celebration of pathology with our unique Rangoli competition! This event invites you to transform the scientific world of disease into a colorful spectacle of art and creativity.

Participants are challenged to create Rangoli designs that visually represent various aspects of pathology, incorporating the festive and celebratory spirit of a carnival. Think of vibrant cells, intricate tissue patterns, and symbolic representations of diseases, all woven together with the joy and energy of a carnival.

Theme : Pathology Carnival

Rules and Guidelines:

Team Size : Teams of a maximum of 3 participants.
On-Spot Competition : The Rangoli creation will take place on-site.
Materials : Participants are required to bring all necessary materials, and can use any material of their choice.
Theme Adherence : The Rangoli must clearly reflect the theme "Pathology Carnival," creatively blending pathological concepts with carnival elements.
Originality and Creativity : Designs should be original and demonstrate artistic flair.
Time Limit: 1 hour
Only 30 initial slots available. Last date for registering is 30^th June 2025. Size of each rangoli will be announced by 5^th July due to availability of limited space.

Pathology, while a serious science, is ripe with comedic potential. This competition invites you to unleash your inner animator and create hilarious cartoon shorts that bring the quirks and oddities of disease to life.

Create a short, animated cartoon clip that humorously explores any pathological theme. Think of the misadventures of a mischievous macrophage, the existential angst of a dividing cancer cell, or the awkward social interactions of different types of bacteria. The only limit is your imagination (and good taste!).

Theme : Patho-Laughs - Any Pathological Theme (Humor Required!)

Rules and Guidelines :

Format :
Short animated cartoons.
Must incorporate animated cartoon clips (any style).
Original voiceovers, sound effects, and/or music are highly encouraged

Theme :
Any pathological theme is acceptable (e.g., infectious diseases, neoplasms, inflammation, etc.).
The primary focus must be on humor.

Length: Shorts should be no longer than 1 minute
Content: Humor is essential! Be creative and original.
While humor is encouraged, avoid excessively graphic or offensive content. Scientific accuracy is not the main focus, but extreme inaccuracy is not encouraged.

This competition invites you to showcase your artistic talents by creating captivating dance or music reels. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a budding artist, this is your chance to shine and share your passion with the world.

Theme : Rhythm & Motion

Participants are encouraged to create short, engaging dance or music reels that express their creativity and artistic vision. This could involve :

Choreographed Dance Routines : Showcasing various dance styles, from contemporary to hip-hop.
Original Musical Compositions : Performing original songs, instrumental pieces, or remixes.
Creative Music Videos : Combining music with visually stunning imagery and storytelling.
Freestyle Performances : Capturing spontaneous and improvisational dance or music moments. Combinations of both dance and music.
